The Miami Valley Dance Spectacular is a local ballroom dance competition in Dayton, Ohio.
The purpose of this competition is twofold:
(1) To provide local ballroom enthusiasts an opportunity to witness all of the pageantry of ballroom competition.
(2) To provide local competitors an opportunity to showcase their talents.
The competition will take place at Arbor Hall in Dayton, OH on Saturday, 30 August 2003, between 5 p.m. and Midnight.
Local Pro/Am and Am/Am couples will compete in four styles of ballroom dancing (American Rhythm, American Smooth, International Latin, and International Standard). There is also a Formation Competition and a Juniors Competition.
Our distinguished judging panel includes Charles Jones, Linda Jackson, and Joe Green. Master of Judges is Larry May.
Ballroom dance vendors will be on hand. This is a spectator event, and a fun dance contest will be open to everyone (including the audience). We will also have a ballroom dance costume contest.
  Purchasing Admission Tickets
The cost for admission is $10 per seat (spectators and competitors). Admission tickets must be purchased no later than 1 July 2003. To purchase, please click on the link above or mail checks made payable to Kevin Buck, Swing 'n' Sway Dance Club, 15 1/2 S. Main St., Miamisburg, OH 45342. Please provide names of all those attending.
Unless you provide a SASE for mailing admission tickets, your tickets will be available on the day of the competition at the front table.

For competitors, registration forms and payment must be received no later than 1 July 2003. Competition fees must be paid by Cashier's Check or Money Order (made payable to "Swing 'n' Sway Dance Club").
The cost to compete is $12 per entry (e.g., Waltz) per couple.

Saturday, 30 August 2003, between 5 p.m. and Midnight. Doors open at 4:00 p.m., and competitors in the Juniors Competition should register by 4:45 p.m. American Rhythm category should register by 6:00 p.m.

What is the Swing 'n' Sway Dance Club?
The Swing 'n' Sway Dance Club is a non-profit organization of amateur ballroom dancers of all ages, abilities, and interests. Swing 'n' Sway sponsors a social ballroom dance at Arbor Hall on the fourth Saturday of every month (subject to change if schedule conflicts). While dancers may become members of the club (and pay a discount for dance attendance), guests are welcome at $10 each.
